Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer To Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our company representative who will pick up, brief you and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, the conservation area is approximately 2 hours drive through the countryside of Rwanda, it is a scenic experience to the park, and we will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon visit to the Iby’iwacu community, these will perform to their traditional songs, guests are free to join in the dance and cultural performances it is beautiful as you wind the evening

Day 2: Full Day Gorilla Trekking Experience

Morning breakfast, after which we will be transferred to the park headquarters for a morning briefing from the park rangers about the mountain gorillas, in groups of eight you will be allocated a gorilla family to track, the activity takes 2 or 8 hours or even the entire day depending on how far the gorilla families have moved, the hike to the forest may seem tough but rewarding at the end of the day as you into the eyes of the gorillas it is a heart-melting experience, an hour is allowed while with the gorillas returning to meet your guide who will transfer you to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Hiking the Dian Fossey

We will have an early morning breakfast on this day after which we will re-assemble at the park headquarters as we prepare to hike through the forest to the tomb graves of Dian Fossey, the American primatologist who lost her life in protection of the mountain gorilla species, it is said that as much as she loved the primates and was in defense of them it does not eliminate the fact that she made some enemies, she was murdered in cold blood, and buried next to the gorillas she loved the most, along the hike you will meet some animal species and even chanced to see the mountain gorilla on a lucky day returning for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking and Relaxation

On this day we will go for another hike to the park this time around in search of golden monkeys, these live within the bamboo forest area hence the hike is not as tough as the gorilla trail it takes 2-3 hours to do the activity, meeting one of the most beautiful creatures in the national park is amazing, they are pretty and fast primates so if you must take pictures it is important to set your camera ready returning to the lodge for relaxation as we meditate on the day’s adventures dinner and staying overnight at

Day 5: Departure

Morning tea or coffee and something to the east after which transfer to Kigali for departure.
