These live within the forested montane and bamboo forest of the national park along the slopes of the great Virunga volcanic region. The primates are as lovely and not to miss when one visits the volcanoes region, the park was made famous by the great works of the American primatologist Dian Fossey with the vast study she carried out on mountain gorilla species. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On arrival, you will be welcomed by a Fruits of Hope Adventure Tours company representative who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, the conservation area is one of the few parks in east Africa where you can find mountain gorillas about 30% of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas, the drive takes approximately 2 hours’ drive to arrive to the destination, an optional visit of the Iby’iwacu community dinner and staying overnight at

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Morning breakfast after which we will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers, they will tell you the does and don’ts while with the gorilla species, in groups of eight, you will be guided through the park in search of the brown-eyed gentle species, enjoy the walk through the forest, the speed depends on the that of the last person, the trek is quite strenuous hence important to consider physical fitness while going for a gorilla experience it takes 2-8 hours trekking the gorilla species, after which we return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking
Following an early morning breakfast, we will be transferred back to the park headquarters this time round for golden monkeys, the primates are one of the most beautiful creatures among monkeys, these are restricted to the Virunga volcanic region, they live in the bamboo forest of the national park, the hike to the golden monkeys is not as hard as the gorillas it takes 2-3 hours doing the activity, returning to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 4: Departure
Morning tea or coffee after you will transfer to Kigali, if time allows you will be able to enjoy a brief city tour and later transfer to the international airport for departure.
